Learning becomes visible when teachers and school leaders believe that success and failure in student learning is about what they, as teachers or leaders, did or did not do.

Pam Riordan

I've been teaching for nearly 20 years and been in PYP schools in ESF Hong Kong for 8 years.

I chose Visible Learning as, after being introduced to Guy Claxton's work, I wanted  to develop some of his ideas, principles and strategies in the classroom and assess the difference this makes to student independence and responsibility for their own learning.  It's been a huge success and I hope to share these outcomes with my school and "Build Learning Power."
